The Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux provides a two-year program for youth in grades 10 and 11. Confirmation students must be registered in the Youth Formation program in their home parish, even if they attend Catholic High School. 

The program consists of at least 20 hours of classroom instruction, two retreats, and other Sacramental Preparation. 

The Sacrament of Confirmation is celebrated at the end of the 11th grade program. Youth in the program travel on a faith journey with youth ministers, their sponsors, and parents.
